FAQ

How soon can I get a dumpster delivered?

We can usually get you a dumpster within five business days, but our exact delivery timeline depends on the containers we have available when you order. We recommend reaching out a few days before your project’s start date to make sure you get the right bin size when you need it.

What does it cost to rent a dumpster?

The price of a dumpster depends on a number of things, such as the size of the dumpster, the weight of the junk, how long you rent it for, and any taxes or fees you have to pay in your area. This means that the exact price of a dumpster will depend on where you live and what you want. We offer simple flat-rate pricing on all of our dumpster sizes, so you’ll always know the full price up front, no matter where you are or how much you’re getting rid of. On our Pricing page, you can find the prices for your area. For a free quote, call (865) 507-1950.

How do I pay for what I’ve ordered?

What comes with the price?

The price of renting a dumpster includes a one-time delivery and pick-up of the roll off dumpster chosen, a weight limit for junk, and a set amount of time for renting. All of the junk will be taken to a place that has been fully inspected and is licensed to do so.

What can be put in the rubbish can?

We Happily Will Take:

Does someone have to be there when things are delivered or taken away?

It is best, but not necessary, to have someone on site when the roll off dumpster is delivered or taken away. The driver will use his best judgement to put the roll-off dumpster in the safest place where it can be reached. If the dumpster needs to be moved, you will be responsible for all of the costs involved. For removal, the customer agrees to give the roll-off dumpster free access on the day it is to be picked up. If you can’t get to the roll-off dumpster, you will have to pay for a wasted trip.

How big of a bin do I need?

The right size dumpster for your project will depend on the kind and amount of junk you’re getting rid of. Call us and tell us about your project. Our customer service staff will help you pick the right dumpster for the job.

Will there be a door on my junk bin?

Most of our dumpsters have doors that can be opened to let in things that are too big to throw over the side. The door is on the end of the truck that comes off first. For the door to open all the way, you’ll need at least eight feet of space in front of the dumpster.

Is there a correct way to put things in a dumpster?

The best way to fill a dumpster is evenly. This will let you put more junk inside and make sure you don’t fill the dumpster too much. Also, make sure that nothing sticks out of the sides or top of the container. This could make it dangerous for the hauler to pick up the dumpster. Please keep in mind that you may have to pay extra if your container is too full.

Should I be home when they deliver or pick up?

You don’t have to be there for the delivery or pickup. On the day of delivery and pickup, just make sure that the spot where you want the dumpster to go is clear and not blocked by cars or anything else that might get in the way. Please also make sure the dumpster is properly filled, with nothing sticking out of the top or hanging over the sides.

Can I ask for more dumpsters?

If your dumpster gets full before your project is done, you can call our office to schedule a service to empty it and bring it back. You can also order more dumpsters if the size and scope of your project changes.

Can a dumpster sit on an incline?

Most of the time, we can put a dumpster on an incline as long as the ground is flat and the slope is less than 15%. A good test is to see if the cars in your driveway need a parking brake. If they do, we can’t put a dumpster there. Be aware that it’s always up to the driver to decide whether or not your driveway is dangerous.

Do I have to be there for delivery and pickup?

No, you don’t have to be there for pickup or delivery. When you place your order, we’ll write down where you want it dropped off and tell the driver to do so.

What are your services?

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

The cost of renting a dumpster from us depends on the type of service you want, where you live, and a number of other things, such as:

  • Size

  • How much stuff weighs
  • Location
  • How long you can rent something

How do you pay for an ongoing dumpster service?

How will I find out how heavy the bin is?

If you fill it with concrete and dirt, each cubic yard weighs about one tonne, so a 10-yard bin filled with inert materials weighs about 10 tonnes.

Will you empty the bin and bring it back during my week-long rental?

Our price includes keeping the bin on site for a week and dumping it once.

When will I get a junk can?

It’s always helpful to have at least 24 hours’ notice. But if you call in the morning, we can usually bring your bin out that same day. Most calls in the afternoon can get bins the next morning.

Define inert materials.

Can’t move or do anything. Dirt, concrete, rocks, sand, stucco, tile, bricks, blocks, asphalt, rebar, metal, etc. are all examples of things that don’t move.

What does it mean for something not to be inert?

Non-inert materials include grass, roots, sod, junk, drywall, wood, stucco with paper, asphalt shingles, plastic, green waste, etc.

Do I need a licence?

Most cities require a permit if you want to put the bin on the street. Go to your city’s Public Works website to get a permit. If the bin is on your own land, you do not need a permit. But we need your signature in person or by fax to let you off the hook for any damage to property. Be aware that a 2 tonne bin that is empty and an 8 tonne bin that is full can easily crack your driveway. Plywood may help avoid damage. Our drivers won’t put a bin down where it could hurt someone or damage something.
